KSD’s Ineffective Sex Ed Opt-Outs

In case you are not aware, officially opting your child out of KSD’s Health Advocacy and Sexual Health Education units does NOT ensure that they will actually be opted out.

While a student may be removed from the class during instruction, the class materials and assignments are still pushed out to the opted-out students through Schoology. Communication with KSD has confirmed that they have no process in place to ensure that the opt-outs are honored.
