“Day of Silence” LGBTQ+ Protest

The GLSEN LGBTQ+ “Day of Silence” is being observed locally this week and KSD does promote this protest in their schools (confirmed in the middle schools and KHS; we do not know if elementary promotes it). It has been confirmed that STAFF have participated by staying silent and not speaking to students in the past.

If you have questions or concerns about the protest please reach out to your child’s school, and if your child has a teacher who stays silent that day (therefore failing to EDUCATE your child that day), please report it to KSD and let KFEI know (contact@kfei.org).

KSD students have reported that there is a strong push at the middle & high schools to participate in this protest. KFEI does not condone the bullying of anybody, and this includes members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as children who do not want to be activists for this movement during their school day.
