KSD’s Lack of Transparency with Parents and Gender

In case you are not aware, Kirkwood School District staff members are under no obligation or expectation by KSD to inform you as a parent if your child is transitioning genders and/or asking for different names and pronouns to be used at school.

Also, in direct contrast to KSD’s specific communication to parents in the past that children would NOT be forced to comply with using transgender titles and pronouns, the District now DOES require children to use the preferred pronouns and titles of transgender staff and will correct them if they do not.
